The role
The Administrative Coordinator for the General Insurance and Banking (GIB) division provides high-touch support to General Managers and senior leaders across the division.
This role is instrumental in enabling leadership effectiveness through proactive diary and task management, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of divisional activities.
The team
The General Insurance and Banking Division is responsible for the supervision of all general insurers and authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs). The Division supports APRA’s core function through prudential supervision and risk assessment activities to support the government and APRA’s objective of providing a prudentially sound financial system.
Key responsibilities
- Manage complex GM calendars, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely progression of divisional activities;
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and relationship management across internal and external parties;
- Facilitate the successful execution of key internal cross-divisional events;
- Prepare and distribute agendas for GIB convened activities;
- Contribute to divisional consistency and clarity through structured support, proactive coordination, and continuous improvement;
- Support report preparation and liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery; and
- Manage travel bookings and expense reconciliations for senior leaders.
About you
- Experience in an executive support and/or business coordination role, or adjacent areas;
- Ability to navigate dynamic environments to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills to influence outcomes;
- High integrity to manage confidential and sensitive information;
- Strong organisational, time management, and multi-tasking capability;
- Sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem solving and escalating when needed; and
- Commitment to working well in a collaborative team environment and flexibility in identifying and making changes to enhance operations.
