To help us deliver on our mandate and strategic priorities, our Enterprise System team is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to manage and maintain the ServiceNow platform ensuring its optimal performance and reliability. APRA leverages the ServiceNow platform, for a number of core and custom applications that support its business processes. 

The team

The Enterprise Systems Team operates within the Technology and Data Division. This team has responsibility for managing several core Enterprise applications, including ServiceNow, as well as collaborating with the business to enable APRA’s strategic deliverables.

Key responsibilities

The role will be required to maintain, build and customise ServiceNow modules that meet business requirements as well as undertaking advanced administration activities to maintain the current platform. This includes:

  • Actioning all BAU and developments requests
  • Actioning monthly and adhoc patching, Family upgrades and sub-production environment refreshes
  • Actioning encryption and mid-server maintenance and upgrades as required
  • Developing business requirements in order to address and implement customer needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to enhance, design and implement effective service management and wider business solutions
  • Research and implement solutions for technical gaps in order to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Complying with APRA’s Change Management Process.
  • Applying ITIL change, release and validation principles to ensure seamless transitions and minimise disruptions.

About you 

  • Solid ServiceNow development experience, working in increasingly senior roles. ServiceNow administrator and developer certifications desirable
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in ServiceNow administration, development, integration, workflows and custom applications. (ITSM & Apps Engine capabilities)
  • Experience with AngularJS, Employee Portal and Workspaces
  • Pro-active and self-directed to manage and maintain the ServiceNow platform
  • Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility, independence, and initiative with a can-do attitude
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing and implementing process improvement strategies and recommendations in an evolving digital business environment. Willingness to offer new ideas and a fresh perspective
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to gather business requirements when working collaboratively with stakeholders. The ability to present information, statuses, requirements, and issues clearly and concisely
  • Strong documentation skills for technical design and instructions
  • Proven experience in delivering results, solving problems and demonstrating accountability while progressing solutions to completion in a collaborative team environment.
