The role

As the Senior Learning and Organisational Development (L&OD) Partner you will have the opportunity to develop and implement key learnings and organisational development initiatives to develop and build individual, leadership and organisational capability to meet current and future needs.

Collaborate with APRA leaders and their teams to design and deliver end to end programs and initiatives including capability development, performance coaching, leadership development, employee engagement, team development across the organisation.

The team 

The People and Culture (P&C) team support APRA in cultivating an agile and engaged organisation, partnering with the organisation to deliver high quality people programs that will ensure APRA is fit to meet current and future challenges.  

Key responsibilities 

  • Design and implement L&OD programs that address the diverse needs of APRA, while at the same time anticipating future development needs to meet our strategic objectives;  
  • Cultivate leadership capability across the leadership cohort and enhance existing leadership development pathways for our people;
  • Engage with key stakeholders to design and deliver ad hoc initiatives that support ongoing development and engagement of individuals and teams;
  • Design, delivery, analysis and provision of insights for a range of employee surveys; 
  • Develop Graduate and early talent programs to ensure the relevant program develops, enhances, and fosters an environment for early individuals to evolve into quality professionals; and
  • Ensure learning and organisational development solutions support APRA’s values and are consistent with APRA’S Capability frameworks and learning pathways. 

About you 

  • Extensive background in a learning and organisational development, with experience in contemporary talent development strategy and practice; 
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering leadership and organisational development programs and initiatives; 
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills;  
  • Demonstrated strength in behavioural facilitation, consulting, and performance coaching skills;  
  • Project management and change management experience;  
  • Extensive experience and capability with development tools such as Hogan Leadership Suite, DISC, 360-degree feedback assessments and similar instruments;  
  • Ability to draw data insights and make data-informed decisions; and  
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills to influence outcomes.
